13. Check all wiring to verify goo d connections b etween the two test ports.
14. Place a call from one voice termin al to another voice terminal using the Tie
Trunk ports assigned. Dial TAC and extension. For example, if TAC of Tie
Trunk group is 110 and station number is 5012, then d ial 110 5012. If the
call cannot be mad e, either one of these ports coul d be defective . There
are four ports on TN760B (port 1, 2, 3, and 4), try d ifferent combinations to
determine defective ports.
15. If there is a defective por t on the circuit pac k, try to switch to an unused
port. However, if all ports are normally used , then replace the circ uit pack.
16. Disconnect the jumpers b etween two ports. Then use administration
terminal and trunk printouts to restore all tr unk group chang es to normal
values.
Analog Tie Trunk Port Test Procedure
The procedures to perform the Analog Tie Tr unk Port Test in the simplex mode
are as follows:
1. Repeat Steps 1 through 7 of the E & M Mode Test Procedure.
2. Set the dip (option) switches for each of the two ports to b e tested on the
Tie Trunk circuit pack to simplex mode.
3. Enter add trunk n command to add a new (test) trunk group. Then enter
the following information:
Group Type — tie
TAC — (use trunk access code obtained from dial plan)
Trunk Type (in/out) — wink/wink
Port — assign two of the ports from the tie trunk
Mode — simplex
Type — type 5
An example of the Trunk Group Form Page 2 is shown in Figure 1-15.
