MedPro Status Test (#1392)
This test is non-destructive.
Voice calls over H.323 signaling g roups are carried b y media processor
resources. If there are no media proc essor resources in-service for the spec ified
signaling group , the H323 B Channels are placed into out-of-ser vice near-end, so
that calls may flow to other trunk group s controlled by d ifferent signaling groups.
On the ip-interfaces form, the field Inter-region IP connectivity
allowed? may be set to y or n. If the field is set to n, only media process ors in
the same region as the signaling group can carry calls.
This test determines if a media proc essor is in-service in the same region as the
C-LAN that carries this signaling group. If the field is set to y, any media
processor in the system can c arry calls. This test determines if a media
processor is in-service in any region.

Result Description/ Recommendation
1005 ABORT This signaling group has no administered far-end address. The test does
not apply to this configuration.
2800 ABORT A C-LAN ethernet port that corresponds to the near-end address of the
signaling group has not been administer ed.
ANY ABORT Refer to ETH-PT, Test #1281, C-LAN port PING test for a more detailed
description of the reasons for the abort.
ANY FAIL The far-end of the signaling group could not be reached.
1. Refer to ETH-PT, Test #1281, C-LAN port PING test for a more detailed
description of the reasons for the failure.
PASS The system can PING the administered far-end address of the H323
signaling group.
