No: Alarms that raise on trunks, stations, or adjunc ts in this category drop .
Error information displays as before, b ut alarm is evident. LED is inactive
and calls are not sent to INADS. Because resourc es are deactivated
without any record, this option is rec ommended only when other op tions
do not provide desired results.
Technicians can administer alarm op tions on a system-wide basis for the
following categories:
Major on-board station alarms
Minor on-board station alarms
Major off-board station alarms
Minor off-board station alarms
Trunk alarms have four alarm severity groups with administrab le alarm options in
the categories listed b elow. For G1, technicians can administer alarm op tions on
a system-wide basis for the following categories:
Major on-board trunk alarms
Minor on-board trunk alarms
Major off-board trunk alarms
Minor off-board trunk alarms
Technicians assign alarm severity options to th e following Adjunct c ategories:
Major on-board adjunct alarms
Major off-board adjunct alarms
Minor on-board adjunct alarms
Minor of-board adjunc t alarms
Technicians can administer options for Minor off-b oard DS1 Interface circuit p ack
alarms and Minor off-board Memor y Card Capacity Alarms o n a system-wide
basis.
The system inspects alarm repor ting options information in the Alar m Reporting
Options Form as translation data and preserves it through all restart levels.
This command affects the MO alarming listed below. Neither the trunk nor the
station category app lies to alarms raised on the co mmon portion of the circuit
pack.
If the option associated with the alarm type is set to “n,” the s ystem drops the
alarm report. Alarm error information remains intac t, but no records of alarms and
no LEDs light on the port circ uit pack, the Maintenance c ircuit pack, the
attendant console, or alarm rep orting station to indicate a p roblem.
