3. A list configuration command shows that the circ uit pack and
ports are properly insta lled.
The system tries to restore the circuit pack wi thin 15 minutes. If the error
recurs after 15 minutes, replace the c ircuit pack. (Refer to Chapte r 5,
"Routine Maintenance Procedures".)
k. Error Type 2049 and 2817These errors are logged in conjunc tion with
Error Type 1281, Aux Data 17699. Since that error [see Note (i)] means
that a defective speec h memory location was found, the announcement
checksum error is also log ged. This causes the Announc ement Checksum
Test (#209) to run, which determines if the defective memor y location has
corrupted any rec orded announcements. If the Chec ksum Test passes,
the faulty memory location is currently not b eing used, and th e SP marks
the location as faulty to ensure that future announcements do not attempt
to use it.
NOTE:
As memory locations are marked faulty, the amount of availab le
memory decreases, which decreases the total amount of
announcement time available on the c ircuit pack.
l. Error Type 2049A transient error that does not cause an alarm can
occasionally occ ur during a SPE, TDM BUS, or Tone Clock interchange. It
is possible for a marginal Tone-Clock circuit pack to cause this error
against the ANN-BD without alarming the TONE-BD. If this error occ urs
again, replacing the Tone-Clock circuit pack may c lear up this error. See
the FAIL case in the Clock Match Inquiry Test (#212).
m. Error Type 3840 This error is not service-affecting and no acti on is
required.
n. Error type 3999 Indicates that the c ircuit pack sent a larg e number of
control channel messages to the s witch within a short period of time. If
error type 1538 is also present, then the c ircuit pack was taken
out-of-service due to hype ractivity. If error type 1538 is not present, then
the circuit pac k has not been taken out-of-service, b ut it has generated
50% of the messages necessary to be considered hyp eractive. This may
be completely normal during heavy traffic p eriods. However, if this error
type is logged when the circuit pac k is being lightly used , it may indicate a
problem with the circui t pack or the equipm ent attached to it.
o. Error Type 2Check the Class of Restriction (COR) administered for the
Data Line extension assigned to the TN750 for up loading and
downloading announc ements. The extension can be found b y using list
data-module.
