g. This error occurs when the port rec eives an invalid frame over the
D-channel. When CRC errors exceed five within 15 minutes, the p ort is
taken out of service for five second s. If five more CRC errors are received
within 15 minutes of the first set of five errors, the port is ta ken out of
service for one minute. If five more CRC errors are received within 15
minutes of the last five, the port is taken out of servic e for 15 minutes.
This error is most likely due to a problem with the wiring to the set or
adjunct, interference on the wir ing due to a noise source or no termin ation
(an open circuit). It usually d oes not indicate a p roblem with the circuit
pack.
Check the wiring to the end points or the adjunct.
If the problem persists, rep lace the endpoints or ad juncts.
h. This error occurs when the BRI Port Local TDM Loop Around Test (#619)
fails. Run the Long Test Sequence, and pay partic ular attention to the
results of Test #619.
There are no Test to Clear Values for the following error types. The error
types are simply provid ed as additional d ata that may prove useful while
troubleshooting.
i. This error occurs when a Layer 1 Transmission error is detected for the
port. Run the Long Test Sequence, and pay p articular attention to the
results of the Layer 1 Transmission Error Counter Test (#624).
j. A BRI port supports up to three Terminal Endpoint Id entifiers (TEIs). This
error occurs when the switch rec eives a request for a fourth TEI on a port.
Check the number of endp oints administered for this p ort.
k. This error occurs when an SPID initialization request is made from an
endpoint and the switc h determines that the SPID value is invalid or is a
duplicate of another SPID that is already initia lized at Layer 3 on the port.
Check the administration of the end points.
l. This error occurs when the circuit pa ck detects an overflow of it s receive
buffers. Run the Long Test Sequence, and pay p articular attention to the
results of the Receive First In First Out (FIFO) Overflow Error Counter Test
(#625).
m. This error occurs when the BRI Port Local LAN Loop Around Test (#618)
fails. Run the Long Test Sequence, and pay partic ular attention to the
results of Test #618.
n. This error most likely occurs when the Terminal Endpoint Identifier (TEI)
administered for the ASAI or Lucent end point does not match the TEI
administered in the ASAI or Lucent ad junct. Check the switch
administration of the TEI against that of the adjunc t, and make sure that
both are using the same TEI.
o. Indicates that sets on the port do not support Layer 3 initialization. Consult
the Service Set documentation.
