LOG-SVN (Login Security Violation)
The Security Violation Notification (SVN) feature provides notification when the
number of failed attempts t o access the system adminis tration/maintenance
interface meets or exceed s customer administered threshold parameters.
A major alarm is logged whenever a security violation is d etected involving a
services login ID and that lo gin ID has been disab led as a result of the security
violation. The capability to d isable a login ID following detection of a security
violation involving that login ID is ad ministrable on a per log in ID basis.

a. The number (1 - 15), that appears in the error typ e field, correspond s to
the location the login in the internal login data structure.
b. The Alt Name field on the alarm report indicates the log in ID associated
with the security violation and major alarm.
c. These errors/alarms are associated with a numb er of failed attempts to
access the system manag ement/maintenance interface using a services
login ID that meet or exceed the customer administered threshold
parameters. The associated alarm is imm ediately raised as a major alarm.
