b. This error type indicates that the c ircuit pack has b een removed or has
been insane for more than 11 minutes. To clear the error, replace or
reinsert the circuit pac k.
c. This error occurs when the EPF Status Inquiry fails due to an overcurrent
condition or when the BRI-LINE circuit p ack detects that the EPF is in an
over current condition. The aux d ata field contains one of the following
values:
blank - this indicate s that the EPF Status Inquiry failed due to an
overcurrent condition.
40988 - this indicates that the BRI-LINE circuit p ack has detected
an overcurrent condition and has turned the EPF off.
Execute the Short Test Sequence and see the repair proced ures for Test
#622.
d. This error indicates that the circuit p ack is having prob lems transmitting
data to the Packet Bus, thus affecting the conveyance of signaling
information over the D-channel. With Aux Data 46222, this error oc curs
when the Packet Bus transmit buffers overflow. This cond ition probably
indicates a hardware p roblem. The BRI-PORT Alarm Level for the error
with Aux Data 46222 is "MIN/WRN," and the
ABRI-PO RT/ATT-PORT/L GATE-PT/ATTE-PT Al arm Le vel is
"MAJ/MIN/WNR." With Aux Data 0, this error occurs whenever the Packet
Bus transmit FIFO buffers overflow. This condition can be caused by an
on-board hardware prob lem as well as by problems on the Pac ket Bus
that disrupt the BRI circuit p ack’s ability to transmit d ata onto the Packet
Bus. Use troubleshooting proc edures for both on-board hardware
problems and poten tial off-board Packet Bus problems. See the "PKT-BUS
(Packet Bus)" Maintenance section in this chap ter as well as Chapter 9,
"Packet Bus Fault Isolation and Correction" for more details on Packet Bus
troubleshooting proced ures. The BRI-PORT Alarm Level for the error with
Aux Data 0 is "MINOR," and the ABRI-POR T /A T T -P OR T/LGATE-PT /A T T E -P T
Alarm Level is "MAJOR."
e. This error occurs when the NPE Crosstalk Test (#617) fails. Run the Long
Test Sequence, and pay particular attent ion to the results of Test #617.
f. This error occurs when broadcast sig naling links associated with this port
have too much link establishment related traffic. This could occ ur if an
endpoint on this por t is sending link establishmen t traffic on a port level
broadcast link, or if there are Level 1 prob lems on the port. Check the error
logs for Level 1 errors. If Level 1 prob lems exist, follow the repair
procedures listed for tes t #621. Software will suspend activity to this p ort
for 75 minutes when the port is alarmed d ue to this error (note that service
suspension does not oc cur if the port is an
ABRI-PORT/LGATE-PT/ATTE-PT/ATT-PORT). If this problem persists,
replace the endpoi nt or endpoints associated with this port. If replacing
the endpoints does not fix the problem, follow normal escalation
procedures.
