no dial or touch tones duri ng this interval, which prob ably will not
affect calls in prog ress, but could c ause a call origination to ab ort
or cause a user to not get d ial tone when going off hook.
7. If all tests pass and the alarm d oes not resolve, retest (test tone
UUCSS long clear).
8. If the test passes, terminate the repair proc ess. If it fails, replace the
circuit pack at the customer’s convenienc e.
9. If the board is dup licated, switch to the st andby side (set tone).
10. Test the alarmed board (test tone UUCSS long). This resets the
board and is required to reload on-board RAM assoc iated with the
TN2182’s DSPs.
11. If all tests pass and the alarm does not resolve, retest with test tone
UUCSS long clear.
12. If the test passes, terminate the repair proc ess. If it fails, replace the
board.
b. The ETR-PT lost its translation. Testing the ETR-PT is sufficient to reload its
translation. If testing the ETR port does not clear the error, then the
TN2182 circuit pack c ontaining the defectiv e ETR port should be replaced
at a time when it is convenient to remove a cloc k board from the system.
Follow the procedures desc ribed in the TONE-BD section for repl acing a
tone/clock circ uit pack.
c. This error indicates the (ETR-PT) Enhanced Tone Receiver port is having
problems detecti ng touch tones, call p rogress or MFC tones. If this error
type is persistently logg ed, then the TN2182 circuit p ack containing the
defective ETR-PT should be replaced at a time it is c onvenient to remove a
clock board from the s ystem. Follow the procedures desc ribed in the
TONE-BD section for replacing a tone/c lock circuit pa ck.
d. The ETR-PT lost its translation. Testing the ETR-PT is sufficient to reload its
