a. These errors have no specific test assoc iated with them. Refer to Notes b
through p for an explanation and appropriate ac tion.
b. These errors are valid only for administered connection establishe d over
ISDN facilities; only error 127 is valid for admi nistered connection
established over non-ISDN facilities (or b etween two endpoints on the
same switch).

c. These errors are typically associated wi th ad m in is t ra ti ve pr ob l em s a nd ar e
not expected to be of a temporary nature. Therefore, the administered
connection is not retried and the failure is alarmed immediately (the alarm
threshold specified by the customer is ignored).
d. The address of the destinatio n endpoint is: an unassigned number (1);
has an invalid number format (28) ; or is restricted form terminating calls
("Access Denied") [due to COR (Class of Restriction)] . Verify that the
destination address is c orrect and that the des tination endpoint is
administered. The destination end point is not administered on the switch
where this error is logged.
e. A request has been made to use a t ransit network or common carrier that
cannot be acc essed. Check the routing p attern used by this Administe red
Connection and verify that the inter-exc hange carrier sp ecified is correc t.
f. The exact failure cause is unknown or has been mapped to one of these
values. If this is not a temporary cond ition, try reversing the direc tion of the
Administered Connection (that is , originate the Administered Connec tion
from the destination switch). This may yield anothe r failure cause.
