Connection
State The call state of the AC. The following are connec tion states
associated with dial-out ACs :
“enabled” = Transient in nature indicating th at an AC is about to
enter the “attempting to c onnect” state.
“disabled” = one of three options:
The AC reaches an administered retry threshold , and all retries
are stopped. To verify this, check the Error Log to see if an error
type of 9 is logged agai nst the AC.
The AC is in a connected state with the f ar end disconnected .
The initial channel call is not co nnected. No dial out c all attempt
is made for the additio nal channels until the initial channel has
reaches a connected state.
“not scheduled ” = Transient in nature, indic ating that an AC is about
to enter the “attempting to c onnect” state.
“waiting to retry” = The AC is inactive, waiting for the retry timer to
expire. Once the timer exp ires, the AC sends a dial out c all and
enters the “attempting to connect” state. In this state, d ial out calls
fail at least once.
“attempting to c onnect” = The AC is ac tive, but has not connected .
“connected ” = The call associated with the AC is answered and joins
cut-thru to the conference.
Retry Count Tallies the attempted retries for this AC du ring join attempts and d oes
not clear when the AC connec ts. However, it clears when the Redial
feature attempts a new join. This differs from the Join Count which
counts the number of times the c hannel joins the conference d uring
this conference session.
Failure Cause An ISDN or CPTR cause value (values lower than 0x7f) records when
the last dial out call drop s. Values above 0x7f are generated
internally. Table 2-6 lists all possib le failure cause values disp layed
by this field and its asso ciated descrip tion. The Failure Cause
value logs in the Error Log and d isplays with the display errors
command. (Err Type is normally displayed as a dec imal.)
