Call Classifier
Ports When the number of call classifier p orts (CLSFY-PTs) in service
falls below this number, a WARNING alarm is raised ag ainst
TTR-LEV. Valid entries are 1 to 200. There are 8 ports on eac h
TN744 or TN2182 circuit pack. To alarm the first oc currence of a
CLSFY-PT being taken out of service, set this field to the total
number of CLSFY-PTs. If there are no TN744 or TN2182 circuit
packs in the system, leave this field blank.
MMIs The MMIs field contains the minimum numbe r of MMI ports
needed for the Multimedi a Call Handling (MMCH) feature to run
efficiently. The MMCH feature must be enabled on the
System-Parameters Customer-Options form before the MMIs field
can be chang ed to a number greater than zero. If the numb er of
in-service Multimedia Inter face (MMI) ports falls belo w the
minimum port capac ity (valid entries between 0-128), a MMI-LEV
error is logged. Each MMI circuit pack contains a maximum of 32
ports. To alarm the first occurrenc e of an MMI being taken out of
service, set this field to the total numb er of MMI ports. If this
outage continues for 15 minutes, a MAJO R alarm is raised.
VCs The VCs field contains the minimum number of VC por ts needed
for the Multimedia Call Handling (MMCH) feature. The MMCH
feature must be enabled on the System-Parameters
Customer-Options form before the VCs field c an be changed to a
number greater than 0. Each VC circuit p ack contains 16
physical ports : 8 ports are reserved for VC-DSPPT ports, and the
remaining 8 ports are desig nated as VC-SUMPT ports. The 8
DSP ports are made up of 4 encoder and 4 decoder resources
that encode and d ecode audio formats. Thus,
one VC circuit pack is required for every 8 ports of MMCH port c apacity
. If the
number of in-service VC ports falls below the MMCH port
capacity (valid entries between 0 and 128), a VEC-LEV error is
logged. To alarm the first oc currence of a VC port being taken
out of service, set this field to the total numb er of VC ports. If this
outage continues for 15 minutes a MAJO R alarm is raised.
Terminating Trunk Transmission Test (Extension)
Test Type 100 This field specifies extensions assi gned to receive tie-trunk ca lls
from other switches that have test line orig ination capability. The
system responds by sending a sequence of test tones. Test Type
100 tests far end to near end loss an d C-message by sending :
5.5 seconds of 1004 Hz tone at 0 d B
Quiet until disconnect; d isconnect is forced after one minute
