This displays a page of outp ut summarizing the operational status of th e system
printer link: its link state, number of retries, an d whether the link is maintenance
busy.
Level 3
State: State of the primary or secondary D -channels:
in-service: a D-channel is “in-service” when it is in the
multiple-frame-established state at layer 2 carrying normal ca ll-control
signaling at layer 3.
standby: a D-channel is “standb y” when it is in the
multiple-frame-established state at layer 2, and not carrying any l ayer 3
call-control messages on logical link 0,0.
wait: a D-channel is in a “wait” state when an attempt has been made
by one side of the interface to establish layer 3 peer communic ations as
part of the process of g oing to the “in-service” state, which is
transitional in nature. Only when the ISDN SERVICE message is sent
over the interface, and the far end of the interface responds with a
SERVICE ACKnowledge message is th e D-channel placed in the
“in-service” state.
maintenance-busy: a D-channel is “maintenanc e-busy” when it is not
in the multiple-frame-established state at layer 2. This state is entered
automatically when an active D-c hannel is declared failed . A D-channel
that has been placed in the “maintenance-busy” state may be placed in
the “out-of-service” st ate without system technician intervention.
manual-out-of-service: a D-channel is “manual-out-of-servic e”
when system technician intervention has c aused it to be plac ed in the
TEI-assigned state at layer 2. System Technician intervention is
required to retrieve a D-channel from this state.
out-of-service: a D-channel is “out-of-servic e” when it is in the
TEI-assigned state at layer 2, but is p eriodically requested by layer 3 to
attempt to establish the link.
no-link: no link is administered for the D-c hannel
