ANL-LINE (8-Port Analog Line),ANL-NE-L (8-Port Neon Analog Line)
The 8-Port Analog Line circuit p acks are:
TN742
TN769
TN467
These circuit packs p rovide 8 ports for sing le line on-premises or off-premises
analog endpoints suc h as analog voice ter minals, queue warning level la mp,
recorded announceme nts, dictation machines, Pag ePac paging equip ment,
external alerting devic es, modems, facsimile mac hines, and AUDIX voice ports.
The TN769 supports a neon message waiting lamp. The other 8-port analog lines
do not support the lamp.
Test #48 may cause some terminal equipment to ring briefly during d aily
maintenance. If this ringing is disturbing the c ustomer or the terminal equip ment,
it should be disab led using the Tests field of the station admin istration screen.
However, on some releases of the software, this action d isables Tests #6, #47,
and #35 as well as Test #48. Test #47 may cause a false alarm when the port is
connected to off-p remises equipment, some non-voic e terminal equipment, and
some loop equipment. If this is the case, then the test should b e disabled usi ng
the Tests field of the change station
<extension>
command.
No maintenance of the terminal connec ted to the 8-Port Analog Line c ircuit pack
or 8-Port Neon Analog Line circuit p ack is performed , except to determi ne
whether or not the terminal is connected . Failures of the neon message waiting
lamp power (for ANL-NE-L only) and the c ommon ringing app lication circuitry are
reported as part of the Common Port Circuit Pack errors (see errors 1281 and
1793 i n the XXX- BD (C ommon Port C ircu it Pac k) Mai nten ance doc umen tatio n).
