There are two methods available to place an outgoing ISDN-PRI test call.
In the first method, the test call c onnection is established over the TDM Bus of
the transmit and receive sides of th e ISDN-PRI trunk to a data channel. This
method is selected when no Maintenance/Test circuit pack resid es in the system.
In the second method, the tes t call connection is estab lished over the TDM Bus
of the transmit and receive sides o f the ISDN-PRI trunk to a digital trunk testing
port on the Maintenance/Test circuit pac k. The Maintenance/Test Digital Port
generates a pseudo b it stream. A pictorial desc ription of the outgoing ISDN-PRI
test call connectivity is contained in Figure 3-28.

Synchronous Commands
You can demand a synchronous outgoing test call by using the following
maintenance commands:
■test trunk trunk-group-no/member-no long [repeat number]
■test board board-location long [repeat number]
■test port port-location long [repeat number]
Whenever a circuit translates to an ISDN-PRI trunk during a Long Test Sequence,
an outgoing test call is invoked. If the B-channel is unrestric ted (B8ZS or HDB3)
the default duration of the test c all is 8.6 seconds. Otherwise, if the B-c hannel is
