3. Pull down on the locking lever until the c ircuit pack dis connects from its
socket.
4. Pull the circuit pack just enou gh to break contact with the b ackplane
connector, but d o not remove it from the cabinet.
To reseat a circuit pack:
1. Push the unseated circuit pac k back into the bac kplane connector.
2. Lift the locking lever until the p in engages.
3. Restore power to the PPN using the procedure p rovided in ‘‘Restoring
Power’’
To replace Control circuit packs:
1. Remove power from the PPN using the procedure in the ‘‘Rem oving
Power’’
1. Unseat the circuit pac k.
2. Slide the circuit pac k out of the slot.
3. Replace the circuit p ack as per the following p rocedure:
NOTE:
If a new circuit pac k does not correct the prob lem, install the original
circuit pack.
To install a new circuit pack or return the orig inal one to service:
1. Carefully insert the circuit pac k and push it all the way into its mountin g
slot.
2. Lift the locking lever until the latc h pin engages.
3. Restore power to the PPN using the procedure in ‘‘Restoring Power’’.
4. Verify that the circuit pack LED indic ations are correct.
5. Test the replaced control circuit pack by issuing the system technician
commands after power has b een restored.
Removing Power
When power is removed, the following features d eactivate:
Attendant Trunk Group Control
Automatic Callback
Call Park
Make Busy for Direct Department Calling (D DC) and Uniform Call
Distribution (UCD)
