Packet Intfl? These fields indicate if a Disk c ircuit pack is p resent, and identify
administered Packet Interfac e slots. If a Packet Interface circuit
pack is present, the corresponding Packet In terface field is set to
y when the system boots. No chan ge to that field is allowed. If the
syste m is eq uipp ed w ith du plic ated SPEs, the Packet
Interface field is set to y if either SPE carrier contains a Packet
Interface circuit p ack in the correspond ing position. If a Packet
Interface circuit p ack is not present, the value for the Packet
Interface field is read from translation d ata, and stored on d isk
or tape. If the field is set to n, a Packet Interface circuit p ack may
be administered by changing the correspond ing Packet
Interface field to y.
This field identifies the presenc e of Packet Interface 1
(always set to y for csi and si models).
Packet Intf2? This field identifies the presenc e of Packet Interface 2
(always set to y for the si model). It is changeab le for the csi
model. If set to y for the csi mode l, the Bus Bridge and
Inter-Board Link Timeslots fields display. Default is n.
Packet Intf3? This field identifies the presenc e of Packet Interface 3
(Unavailable in the si and c si models). It is changeab le in the r
model. Default is n.
Bus Bridge (If Packet Intf2 set to y) This field gives the location of the
C-LAN circuit pac k performing the bus b ridge functionality when
the packet bus is ac tivated. Enter the 5-character circ uit pack
number (CCcss, where CC = cabinet number 1-3, c = carrier
A-E, ss = slot number 0-20). Default is b lank.
Inter-Board Link
Timeslot Pt0 The number of timeslots to be used for p ort 0 on the Inter-Board
Link. Displays only if the switch model type is csi and the Packet
Intf2 field is y. Enter the number of timeslots (1-9) to be used by
this Inter-Board Link port. Default is 6.
Inter-Board Link
Timeslot Pt1 The number of timeslots to be used for p ort 1 on the Inter-Board
Link. Displays only if switch mo del type is csi and the Packet
Intf2 field is y. Enter the number of timeslots (1-3) to be used by
this Inter-Board Link port. Default is 1.
Inter-Board Link
Timeslot Pt2 The number of timeslots to be used for p ort 2 on the Inter-Board
Link. Displays only if switch mo del type is csi and the Packet
Intf2 field is y. Enter the number of timeslots (1-3) to be used by
this Inter-Board Link port. Default is 1.
