Maintenance Commands

set synchronization
This command sets DS1 trunks or active tone/cloc k circuit packs that supply
references for synchronization. The set synchronization command works afte r
the disable synchronization command disab les synchronization. Technicians
may administer DS1 trunks or active tone/clo cks with the set synchronization
command. DS1 or tone/clocks remain synchronization references until the set
synchronization command runs with another board or until the enable
synchronization command runs.
After the enable synchronization command runs, administered primary or
secondary synchronizat ion sources become sync hronization references. If no
primary or second ary source is administered, sync hronization uses active
tone/clock board s as synchronization references after sync hronization is
enabled.
The synchronization subsystem provid es error-free digital communic ation
between the switch and other PBXs, COs, or cust omer premise equipment.
System components involved in sync hronization include: TDM bus c lock, DS1
trunk board, and maintenanc e and administration software resident in the SPE.
set tdm
The set tdm c ommand establishes the TDM bus on a p ort network that houses
control channels and d edicated tones.
