System Technician-Demanded Tests: Descriptions

and Error Codes

Always investigate tests in the order p resented in the table b elow. By clearing

error codes associated with the TDM Lo opb ack Test, for examp le, you may also

clear errors generated from other tests in the testing sequence.

NPE Crosstalk Test (#6)

This test is destructive.

The NPE Crosstalk test verifies that this port’s NPE channel talks on the selected

time slot and never crosses over to time sl ots reserved for other connect ions. If

the NPE is not working correctly, one-way and noisy connec tions may be

observed. This test is part of the p ort’s long test sequenc e and takes

approximately 20 to 30 second s to complete.
