Port (TTR)]
The Dual Tone Multifrequency Receiver Port (DTMR), also known as the
Touch-Tone Receiver (TTR), resides on the Tone Detector circuit pack (TN748,
TN420) or the TN756 Tone-Clock circuit pack. There are four Dual Tone
Multifrequency Receiver (DTMR-PT) ports and two General Purpose Tone
Detector (GPTD-PT) ports on a Tone Detector circuit pack. The DTMR port is
used to detect touc h-tone digits that are plac ed on the TDM bus. Examples of
touch-tone digits are d igits 0 through 9, #, and *. The ab ility of the DTMR port to
detect touch-tone d igits is essential for maintenance of other circuit packs (for
example, Tone-Clock circuit pack ) and in placing a station-to-station call. Calls
originating from a hybrid station do not require a DTMR port.
The Dual Tone Multifrequency Receiver Port maintenance object d efines a set of
tests to verify that the DTMF digits detection c apability of the DTMR port is
functioning prope rly. For all Tone Detector circuit pac k level errors (DETR-BD),
refer to the XXX- BD (Co mmon Po rt Ci rcuit Pack) Maint enanc e do cume ntati on.
