u. Error Type 3841: the board received a message from the swi tch that it
does not recognize, and the board respond ed with an inconsistent down
link error message. This error does not affect servic e, and no action is
required.
v. Error type 3842: the circuit pac k received data from the Packet Bus faster
than it could distribute the d a ta to its endpoint. This circuit pack should be
able to recover by itself, and no action is necessar y.
w. Error Type 3999: circuit pack sent a large numb er of control channel
messages to the switch within a short p eriod of time.
If Then
Error Type 1538 is also
present Circuit pack is taken out of service
If Error Type 1538 is not
present Circuit pack is
not
taken out of service, but has
generated 50% of the messages necessary to
be considered hyperactive.
■This may be normal during heavy traffic.
■If the error is logged during light traffic, it
may indicate a problem with the circuit pack
or the equipment attached to it.
