Notes:
a. A failure in the tone generation facility on th e indicated c ircuit pack has
been detected . Replace the circuit p ack. See ‘‘How to Replace a
Tone-Clock Circuit Pack’’ in the TONE-BD section.
b. This error type indicates that t he circuit pack has been removed or has
been insane for more than 11 minutes. To clear the error, reinsert or
replace the circuit pack.
c. The tone generation facility is having problems verifying th at tones have
been connected as requested.
d. The tone generation facility may or may not b e able to generate tones.
e. Infrequent errors, at a rate which does not b ring up an alarm, p robably do
not affect service, unless there are cust omer complaints of no tones, or
incorrect tones which c an not be explained in any other way. However, if
an alarm is raised because thi s error is being repeatedly logged, then the
circuit pack sh ould be replac ed. See ‘‘How to Replace a Tone-Clock
Circuit Pack’’ in the TONE-BD section.
