Part 68: Statement

Part 68: Answer-Supervision Signaling. Allowing thi s equipment to be op erated in
a manner that does not provid e proper answer-supervision si gnaling is in
violation of Part 68 rules. This equipment returns answer-sup ervision signals to
the public-switc hed network when:
Answered by the called station
Answered by the attendant
Routed to a recorded announc ement that can be admi nistered by the CPE
user
This equipment returns answer-supervisi on signals on all DID calls forward ed
back to the pub lic-switched telep hone network, with these exceptions:
A call is unanswered
A busy tone is received
A reorder tone is received
This equipment is capab le of providing users access to interstate p roviders of
operator services through the use of access cod es. Modification of this
equipment by c all aggregators to b lock acc ess dialing cod es is a violation of the
Telephone Operator Consumers Act of 1990.
