This command performs hard ware diagnostic tests on the sp ecified proc essor

interface circuit p ack. In addition to tes ting the PI board, the tests examine the

protocol and link interfa ce that is transmitted over the bo ard.

!WARNING:

Since the “clear long ” options clear all c ounters if tests pass, it is po ssible

for firmware counters to be c leared even when a problem exists. In so me

cases customer servic e might degrad e since calls may be route d over

defective equip ment.

sequence (short or long) to repeat
until the alarm (if any) is cleared or
a single test in the sequence fails.1
Command is validated and then a
scheduling form disp lays to
schedule execution of the
command. The command is then
placed in the command q ueue and
is executed at the specified time.
The information displayed by the
command is sent to the system
printer instead of the screen.2

1 If no alarms are registered against the maintenan ce object then the test sequence is run only once. The
long
clear
option forces a clear of all alarms if no errors are encountered d uring testing. The
short clear
option only
clears alarms pertinent to tests in the short sequence. SEE WARN ING BELOW .
