Usage

This command turns on BGP soft-reconfiguration inbound debugging. If no

Information

neighbor is specified, debug turns on for all neighbors.

debug ip bgp updates

Allows you to view information about BGP updates.

Syntaxdebug ip bgp [vrf vrf-name] [A.B.C.D X:X:X:X::X peer-group peer-group-name] updates [in out prefix-list prefix-list- name]

To disable debugging, use the no debug ip bgp [vrf vrf-name] [A.B.C.D X:X:X:X::X peer-grouppeer-group-name] updates [in out prefix-listprefix-list-name]command.

vrf vrf-name

(OPTIONAL) Enter the keyword vrf followed by the name of

 

the VRF to view BGP updates information corresponding to

 

that VRF.

A.B.C.D

(OPTIONAL) Enter an IPv4 address of the neighbor.

X:X:X:X::X

(OPTIONAL) Enter an IPv6 address.

peer-group

(OPTIONAL) Enter the keyword peer-groupfollowed by the

peer-group-

name of the peer group.

(OPTIONAL) Enter the keyword in to view only BGP updates

 

received from neighbors.

out

(OPTIONAL) Enter the keyword out to view only BGP

 

updates sent to neighbors.

prefix-list

(OPTIONAL) Enter the keyword prefix-listthen the

prefix-list-

name of an established prefix list. If the prefix list is not

configured, the default is permit (to allow all routes).

ip-address

(OPTIONAL) Enter the IP address of the neighbor in dotted

 

decimal format.

peer-group-

(OPTIONAL) Enter the name of the peer group to disable or

name

enable all routers within the peer group.
