Equal Cost Multi-Path (ECMP)

Equal cost multi-path (ECMP) is supported on the Dell Networking OS.

ecmp-group

Provides a mechanism to monitor traffic distribution on an ECMP link bundle. A system log is generated when the standard deviation of traffic distribution on a member link exceeds a defined threshold.

To remove the selected interface, use the ecmp-group no interface command.

To disable link bundle monitoring, use the ecmp-group no link-bundle- monitor command.

ecmp-group ID

Enter the identifier number for the ECMP group. The range is

 

from 2 to 64.

interface

Enter the following keywords and slot/port to add the

 

interface to the ECMP group:

 

• For a 10-Gigabit Ethernet interface, enter the keyword

 

TenGigabitEthernet then the slot/port information.

 

• For a 40-Gigabit Ethernet interface, enter the keyword

 

fortyGigE then the slot/port information.

 

• For a LAG interface, enter the keywords port-channel

 

then the slot/port information. The range is from 1 to 128.
