Configure the time delay used before communicating a change in the status of a tracked object to clients.

Syntax

Parameters

delay {[up seconds] [down seconds]}

To return to the default setting, use the no delay command.

seconds

Enter the number of seconds the object tracker waits before

 

sending a notification about the change in the UP and/or

 

DOWN state of a tracked object to clients. The range is 0 to

 

180. The default is 0 seconds.

You can configure an UP and/or DOWN timer for each tracked object to set the time delay before a change in the state of a tracked object is communicated to clients. The configured time delay starts when the state changes from UP to DOWN or vice-versa.

If the state of an object changes back to its former UP/DOWN state before the timer expires, the timer is cancelled and the client is not notified. For example, if
