You can only configure one domain name with the ip domain-namecommand. To configure more than one domain name, configure the ip domain-listcommand up to six times.

To enable dynamic resolution of hosts, use the following steps:

specify a domain name server with the ip name-servercommand

enable DNS with the ip domain-lookupcommand

To view current bindings, use the show hosts command.

ip domain-list — configures additional names.

ip helper-address

Specify the address of a DHCP server so that DHCP broadcast messages can be forwarded when the DHCP server is not on the same subnet as the client.
