Inject the default route to a BGP peer or neighbor.

To remove a default route, use the no neighbor {ip-addresspeer- group-name}default-originatecommand.

ip-address

(OPTIONAL) Enter the IP address of the neighbor in dotted

 

decimal format.

peer-group-

Enter the name of the peer group to set the default route of

name

all routers in that peer group.

route-map

(OPTIONAL) Enter the keyword route-mapthen the name

map-name

of a configured route map.

Not configured.

If you apply a route map to a BGP peer or neighbor with the neighbor default- originate command configured, the software does not apply the set filters in the route map to that BGP peer or neighbor.

When you configure a route-map for a BGP peer or peer group with the neighbor default-originatecommand, the command checks for the existence of the route in BGP RIB.
