Parameters None

Description Use the isis silent command to disable the interface from sending and receiving IS-IS hello packets.

Use the undo isis silent command to restore the default.

By default, an interface is not disabled from sending and receiving hello packets. n The feature is not supported on the loopback interface.

Examples # Disable Serial 2/0 from sending and receiving hello packets.

View Interface view

Parameters None

Description Use the isis small-hellocommand to configure the interface to send small Hello packets without padding field.

Use the undo isis small-hellocommand to disable the feature.

An interface sends standard Hello packets by default.

n This command is not available in loopback interface view.
