By default, no load balancing is configured.

Unlike IGP, BGP has no explicit metric for making load balancing decision. Instead, it implements load balancing using route selection rules.

Examples # In BGP view, set the number of routes participating in BGP load balancing to 2.

bestroute as-path-neglect (BGP/BGP-VPN instance view)

Syntax bestroute as-path-neglect

undo bestroute as-path-neglect

View BGP view/BGP-VPN instance view

Parameters None

Description Use the bestroute as-path-neglectcommand to configure the BGP router to not evaluate the AS_PATH during best route selection.

Use the undo bestroute as-path-neglectcommand to configure the BGP router to take the AS_PATH as a factor during best route selection.

By default, the router takes AS_PATH as a factor when selecting the best route.

Examples # In BGP view, ignore AS_PATH in route selection.
