Description Use the modem auto-answercommand to set the answering mode to auto-answer.

Use the undo modem auto-answercommand to restore the default, or manual answer.

n This command takes effect on the AUX port and other asynchronous interfaces only, and cannot be applied to the Console port.

Example # Set the answering mode to auto-answer.

Syntax modem timer answer time

Parameter time: Timeout time in the range 1 to 60 seconds.

Description Use the modem timer answer command to set the timeout interval spent waiting for the carrier signal after the off-hook action when setting up an incoming call connection.

Use the undo modem timer answer command to restore the default, or 30 seconds.

n This command takes effect on the AUX port and other asynchronous interfaces only, and cannot be applied to the Console port.

Example # Set the timeout interval to 50 seconds.
