Description

Use the ip redirects enable command to enable sending ICMP redirect packets.

 

Use the undo ip redirects command to disable sending ICMP redirect packets.

 

This feature is enabled by default.

# Disable sending ICMP redirection packets.

ip ttl-expires enable

ip ttl-expires enable

 

undo ip ttl-expires

Description

Use the ip ttl-expires enable command to enable the sending of ICMP timeout

 

packets.

 

Use the undo ip ttl-expirescommand to disable sending ICMP timeout packets.

 

Sending ICMP timeout packets is enabled by default.

 

If the feature is disabled, the device will not send TTL timeout ICMP packets, but

 

still send “reassembly timeout” ICMP packets.
