Use the undo timer join-prunecommand to restore the default setting.

By default, the join/prune interval is 60 seconds.

Related command: pim timer join-prune.

Example # Set the global join/prune interval to 80 seconds in the public instance.

Parameter interval: Interval in seconds between checks of the traffic rate threshold prior to RPT-to-SPT switchover, in the range of 15 to 65,535.

Description Use the timer spt-switchcommand to configure the interval between checks of the traffic rate threshold before RPT-to-SPT switchover.

Use the undo timer spt-switchcommand to restore the default setting.

By default, the traffic rate threshold is checked at an interval of 15 seconds before

RPT-to-SPT switchover.

Before using this command, be sure to use the spt-switch-thresholdcommand to configure the traffic rate threshold that should trigger RPT-to-SPT switchover. Otherwise, the interval set in this command will be meaningless.

Example # In the public instance set the interval between checks of the traffic rate threshold prior to RPT-to-SPT switchover to 30 seconds.
