Syntax

isis timer csnp seconds [ level-1 level-2 ]

 

undo isis timer csnp [ level-1 level-2 ]

Parameters

seconds: Specifies the interval in seconds for sending CSNP packets over broadcast

 

network, ranging from 1 to 600.

 

level-1: Applies the interval to Level-1.

 

level-2: Applies the interval to Level-2.

Description

Use the isis timer csnp command to specify the interval for sending CSNP

 

packets over broadcast network.

 

Use the undo isis timer csnp command to restore the default.

 

The default CSNP interval is 10 seconds.

If no level is specified, the CSNP interval applies to both Level-1 and Level-2 of

the current ISIS process. If a level is specified, the interval applies to the level.

 

This command is not supported on the loopback interface.

 

This command only applies to the DIS router, which sends CSNP packets

 

periodically.

# Configure Level-2 CSNP packets to be sent every 15 seconds over the serial2/0

 

interface.
