Description Use the pim timer join-prunecommand to configure on the current interface the interval at which join/prune messages are sent.

Use the undo pim timer join-prunecommand to restore the default setting.

By default, the join/prune interval is 60 seconds.

Related command: timer join-prune (PIM view).

Example # Set the join/prune interval to 80 seconds on Ethernet 1/0.

Parameter interval: Maximum delay in seconds between hello messages, with an effective range of 1 to 5.

Use the undo pim triggered-hello-delaycommand to restore the default setting.

By default, the maximum delay between hello messages is 5 seconds.
