CONFIG (System Configuration)
The System Configuration maintenance objec t (MO) oversees logical inser tion
and removal of circuit p acks in the system. When Switch Control detects that a
circuit pack is present in a port slot, it informs System Config uration and System
Configuration queries the c ircuit pack to deter mine the type and vintage of the
circuit pack. Similarly, when Switch Control dete cts that a circuit pac k has been
removed from a port slot, it informs System Configuration.
There are no alarms or tests for System Configuration, but three types of errors
are logged to the Hardware Error Log.
