About this Book

This document provides instructions and supporting information needed to

monitor, test, and maintain the hardware com ponents of the DEFINITY Enterprise

Communications Server Release 7 systems.

These system’s extensive background testing and tec hnician-demanded tests

allow many problems to be ad dressed before they severely d isrupt call

processing. Dupl ication options further enhanc e this reliability, giving the

technician an opp ortunity to provide a hig h level of service while resolving

problems or performin g routine maintenance.

This book provides the nece ssary information to make full use of these

capabilities and introduces some new comp onents and strategies found in R6r.
