release maintenance-name [address]
Release commands release speci fied maintenance objec ts from the
maintenance busyout state and p uts them back into servic e, assuming the health
of the component(s) per mits. Hardware tests specific to the maintenance objec t
are performed to verify that it is func tioning.
For each maintenance objec t, the release command is entered in the same
fashion as the associated bus yout command, excep t that the word release is
entered instead of busyout. See the descrip tion of the related busyout command
for details of command syntax .
If a release command is entered for an object that is not busied out, the
command will abort. Some release c ommands trigger rec overy actions by the
system, such as the refresh of a standby PNC or SPE. See the description of the
related busyout command for details of command execution and interac tions.
Parameters
Input parameters consist of s pecifying the loc ation, if required, of the given
maintenance object. Use the s ame format as that used for the related b usyout
command.

Output
The identity of the maintenance objec t and the result of command execution is
displayed on a sc reen form similar to the related busyout sc reen. When the
command aborts or fai ls, an error code indic ating the reason is display ed. See
