ATM Board Framer Looparound Test (#1260)
Destructive
This test verifies the board’s circuit (Time Division Mul tiplexing) and packet paths
using an on-board, d ummy virtual circuit. Before running the test, you must
■busyout the ATM-TRK circuit pack (busyout board UUCSS) and
■switch synchronization (change synchronization) from the ATM-TRK
circuit pack
If the ATM-TRK circuit pack is supplying sy nchronization, the test aborts.
The test sends a digital coun ter from one of the tone generators via one of the
TDM bus time slots. The ATM framer interface converts this dig ital counter to ATM
cells and loops them b ack internally. The ATM-TRK circuit pack converts the cells
back to a digi tal counter and sends it to the tone rec eiver for verification. If the
circuit pack p asses the circuit chec k, the software checks the p acket path by
sending a pac ket from the packet-interface c ircuit pack to the ATM-TRK circuit
pack via the ATM protocol stack.
Figure 9-202 and Figure 9-203 show a diagr ams of this two-part test, substituting
“CES mode” for “PNC mode.”

1003 ABORT Tone receiver could not be allocated.
1. Run display errors, and perform the repairs associated with TTR-LEV
and TON E-PT errors .
The test cannot run unless there is at le ast one Tone Detector available on
the network that holds the ATM-TRK circuit pack.
2. Retry the command up to 3 times at 1-minute intervals.
1015 ABORT ATM-TRK circuit pack not busied out
1. Busyout the ATM circuit pack.
2. Rerun the command.
