Preventive Maintenance
The following preventive maintenance p rocedures should be followed when
visiting customer sites. The chart t hat follows shows a sample of the Preventive
Maintenance Log. Whenever you comp lete a preventive maintenance proc edure,
be sure to fill in the information on the log fo rm before you leave the customer’s
premises.

Air Filters

Air filters should be inspec ted annually. If a filter is dirty or clogg ed, first tap it on
the ground. If the filter is still dirt y or clogged, then wash i t with warm water and a
mild detergent. A vac uum cleaner can be used if one is available. If there is no
facility for washing or vacuuming the air filter, then replace the filter. Refer to
‘‘CABINET (Cabinet Sensors)’’ maintenanc e documentation for information on ai r
filters and fans.
