9-103ANN-BD (Announcement Circuit Pack)
9
NOTE:
As memory locations are marked faulty, the amount of availab le
memory decreases, lowering the amount of announcement time
available on the circuit p ack.
k. A transient error that does not cause an alar m can occasionally oc cur
duri ng a SPE, TDM BUS, or Tone Cl ock interc han ge. Er ror Type 2049It
is possible for a marginal Tone-Clock circuit pack to cause this error
against the ANN-BD without alarming the TONE-BD. If this error occ urs
again, replacing the Tone-Clock circuit pack may cl ear up this error. See
the FAIL case in the Clock Match Inquiry Test (#212).
l. Error Type 3840This error is not service-affecting and no action is
required.
m. Error Type 217 and 267Indicate that there is more than one TN750
Announcement circuit p ack inserted in the system. Remove the alarme d
circuit pack.
n. Error Type 2Check the Class of Restriction (COR) administered for the
Data Line extension assigned to the TN750 for up loading and
downloading announc ements. The extension can be found b y using list
data-module.
o. Error Type 3999Indicates that the circuit pac k sent a large number of
control channel messages to the s witch within a short period of time. If
error type 1538 is also present, then the c ircuit pack was taken
out-of-service due to hype ractivity. If error type 1538 is not present, then
the circuit pack has not been taken out-of-service, but it has generated
50% of the messages necessary to b e considered hyp eractive. This may
be completely normal d uring heavy traffic period s. However, if this error
type is logged when the circuit pac k is being lightly used , it may indicate a
problem with the circui t pack or the equip ment attached to it.
System Technician-Demanded T ests: Descripti ons
and Error Codes
Always investigate tests in the order p resented in the table below whe n
inspecting errors in the sys tem. By clearing error cod es associated with the
Control Channel Looparound Test
, for example, you may also clear errors
generated from other tests in the testing sequence.
