Service SPID This field shows whether or not the link is associated with the
Service SPID. If the link is associated with the Service SPID, this
field contains a “yes” and the extension field is b lank; otherwise,
this field is blank. Service SPID is a feature used by the system
technician to chec k building wiring between the switch and th e
BRI endpoint.
DSO Loop-Around
Test Call
Extension
This field contains the extension number for the test call
extension number. This test extension number will b e used to
establish a loop-around c onnection on the selected trunk.
The DSO Loop-Around Test Call feature is used primarily for
testing DSO channels associated with non-ISDN-PRI trunks. The
loop-around is activated by dialing the test extension nu mber.
Multiple DSO Loop-Around c onnections can be set up by placing
multiple calls to the loop -around extension.
DSO Loop-Around
Test Call
Extension
The DS0 Loop Around feature provides a loop around connection
for incoming non-ISDN DS1 trunk data calls. This feature is
similar to the far-end loop around connection provid ed for the
ISDN Test Call feature. This DS0 loop around is provided
primarily to allow a network service p rovider to perform faci lity
testing at the DS0 level before video telec onferencing terminals
are installed at the PBX.
The feature is activated on a call- by-call basis b y dialing a test
call extension specif ied on the second pag e of the System
Parameters Maintenance form. No spec ial hardware is required.
When the test call extension is received by the PBX, a
non-inverting, 64 kbps connection is set up on the PBX's Time
Division Multiplexed bus. Mor e than one loop around call c an be
active at the same time.
More information follows.

Extension
(cont’d.)
For calls routed over the public network using the ACCUNET
Switched Digital Service (SDS) or Software Defined Data Network
(SDDN), the data transmission rate is 56 kbps, since rob bed bit
signaling is used. For cal ls established over a private networ k
using common channel s ignaling, the full 64 kbp s data rate is
available.
When the incoming trunk group is used only for data calls (SDS),
the Communications Type on the associat ed Trunk Group form
should be set to “d ata.” When the incoming trunk g roup is used
for robbed bit alternate voice and/or data (SDN/SDDN), the
Communications Type on the Trunk Group form should be set to
“rbavd” (robbed bit alternate voice data). For private network
trunks using common chan nel signaling, the Communications
Type on the associated Trunk Group form c an be set to “avd.”
