Effects Stable calls are preserved .
System links, and stable feature and servi ce state data are
preserved.
Error and alarm logs are preserve d, but all alarms are resolved
except for STBY-SPE and busyouts.
Transient calls (not yet connected ), and some user stimuli, are
dropped.
New calls are not processed during the reset.
G3-MT logins, including r emote access and system p ort logins,
are dropped.
If the reset resulted from a spontaneous SPE interchange,
memory shadowing is turned off, and the standby SPE w ill n ot
be available for service unt il memory is refreshed (several
minutes).
Application links suc h as those to AUDIX and CDR are
dropped a nd reestablished in und er 2 1/2 minutes. (BX.25 links
are not dropped , and CDR data is buffered during the outage.)
MSS activity is aborted.
Translation data is preserved, b ut if translation changes were in
progress, the reset is esca lated to Reset Level 3 (Cold-1).
If core dump is enab led for this reset level, reset is delayed
until the core dump is c omplete.
