An Auxiliary Trunk circuit pack c ontains four ports and uses D TMF signaling. A
different hardware interface b etween the switch and the auxiliary e quipment is
used for the four types of sign aling that the auxiliary trunk circ uit pack supp orts.
The interface used for the DEFINITY System loudspeaker paging consists of the
following three pairs:
■The Tip-Ring (T-R) pair used for voice transmission.
■The S (S-S1) pair that carries answer supervision and/or make b usy
information.
■The SZ (SZ-SZ1) pair that provides the external equipment with a s eizure
indication.
The interface used for record ed announcement, dic tation, and other loudsp eaker
paging consists of the following two pairs:
■The Tip-Ring (T-R) pair used for voice transmission.
■The S (S-S1) pair that carries answer supervision and/or make b usy
information.
The interface used for Music-On- Hold consists of one pa ir:
■The Tip-Ring (T-R) pair used for voice transmission.
The interface, used for automatic wake -up using an Audic hron
recorder/announcer unit, c onsists of the following two pairs:
■The Tip-Ring (T-R) pair used for voice transmission.
■The S (S-S1) pair that carries the synchronization signal.
