busyout data-module extension
This command puts the spe cified data mod ule in a maintenance busy state,
whether or not it is installed. No call p rocessing may be exec uted on the data
modules or over the data c hannels. A list of all data-modules ad ministered on the
system can be displayed with list data-module. This form gives the extension,
port, type and other d ata for each data-mod ule. The following table gives the
maintenance object name for each type of data-mod ule listed in the “Type” field
on the list data-module form.

This command puts the hard d isk drive of the Mass Storage System (MSS) into a
maintenance busy state. Placing the disk in a busyout state prevents read and
write access to the disk ex cept when performe d by demand maintenance
testing. This command and the release command abort i f any other MSS
operation has already beg un.
When the release command is issued, all a larms against the disk are
automatically resolved. If the host-ad apter is busied out, it must be released
before the disk can be released . When the host-adapter bec omes out-of-service
due to test or reset failures and bec omes uninstalled, the disk a lso becomes
uninstalled, and all acc ess by system software and mainten ance tests and
commands is blocked.
The cabinet is always 1 and need not be entered. The carrier, a or b, must b e
