ATMS Reports (List Testcall Command)
The list testcalls c ommand produc es detailed and su mmary reports of
measurements made by the Automatic Transmission Measurement System
(ATMS). Measurement reports contain data on trunk signal loss, noise, sing ing
return loss, and echo return loss, and are used to determine the q uality of trunk
lines. The system maintains a database with the results of the last test for each
trunk. System resets clear all transmission test data, and ATMS measurements
are not backed up by the Mass Storage System.
ATMS parameters are administered on page 4 of the trunk g roup form. These
include thresholds for marg inal and unaccep table perfor mance. On the screen
display, measurements that exceed the mar ginal threshold are highlig hted.
Measurements that are exceed the unacc eptable level ap pear flashing,
indicating unusab le trunks. Trunk groups can be adm inistered to log errors and
alarms, and busyout the failed trunk in response to such results.
The detailed report lists measurements for eac h trunk group memb er. The
summary reports lists trunk g roups as a whole. Which measurements are
displayed d epends on what type of te st, if any, was last run on the trunk, and the
capabilities of the TTL on the switch at the far end of the trunk. See the prec eding
description of the test analog-testcall command. A b lank line indicates that no
test data is available for that trunk or g roup.
The number of pages of each repo rt is dependent up on the selection criteria and
the number of outgoing trunks in the system. About 10 measurements can b e
listed on a page on the ad ministration terminal, or about 50 mea surements can
be listed on a printer. By d efault, reports list all measurements. Filtering can be
used to limit the output. For example, the repor t can be set up to print only failed
measurements.
The syntax of the command is as follows:
list testcalls detail | summary
[port UUCSSpp]
[grp group#] [to-grpgroup#]
[mem member#] [to-memmember#]
[resultresultID> | not-resultresultID]
[count#] [print | schedule]
Error Code This numerical code ind icates the reason for a failure
or abort. The codes are expl ained in the CO-TRK and
TIE-TRK sections of Chapter 9, ‘‘ABRI-PORT (ASAI
ISDN-BRI Port)’’.
