Endpoint Capability Information. Fi e l ds o n t his page w i l l only be di s played if a n
endpoint dec lares the specific c apability. For example, if an endp oint does not
declare the VID H.CTX capability, the H.CTX field will not be displayed.
VID Provides information about the type of vid eo and frame rate the
endpoint supports.
vfmt - does not display if the e ndpoint has no video c apability. All
values are blank if there is an act ive call or this is an audio-only
endpoint. Otherwise, values for this field include:
FCIF for full CIF
QCIF for quarter CIF. Support of CIF implies supp ort of QCIF. In
general, for larger sc reens, CIF displays sharper resolution vid eo,
which ZCIF is blocked, b ut may run at higher frame rates and less
clear. The differences are less ob servable on very small disp lays.
cfps and qfps are the maximum frame rate (frames/second ) at
which the endpoint c an receive video for CIF and QCIF operating
modes. CIF frame rate values are 30fps, 15fps, 10fp s, and 7.4fps.
If the endpoint does not sup port CIF (that is, the vfmt field is
QCIF), the cfps value should be blank.
da_sfg indicates supp ort for H.261 Still Frame Graphics
transfers.
H.CTX, H.CTX+ and SG4 are proprietary vid eo format
capabilities.
SG4_sfg indicates supp ort for SG4 Still Frame Graphics
MISC The restrict field is 1 wa y for an endpoint to indic ate that it is
operating at 56 kbp s per channel, the other way is the 56/64
command mode with a v alue of restrict. An endpoint on a 56 kb ps
conference must send one o r both of the 2 indications th at they are
operating at 56 kbp s before they become a vid eo source in a 56 kbps
conference. If they signal either way that they are operating at 56
kbps in a 64 kbp s or 384 kbps conferen ce, they are an audio-only
source, but the MCU continues to send Selected Communic ation
Mode (SCM) toward them when possible.
A MISC capability of derestrict and a 56/64 command of
derestrict together indicate that an end point is operating at 64
kbps. If either is restrict, the conf erence operates at 56 kbp s.
Other field values include:
dcomp indicates supp ort for WorldWorx PCS data compliance.
mbe indicates supp ort for Multi Byte Extension. MBE capabi lity is
used for the exchange of p asswords, terminal names, and other
special cap abilities, such as, supp ort of WorldWorx PCS specific
features.
cic (Chair Indicate Capability) indicates chair control capability.
