Spontaneous interchange into an unrefresh ed standby SPE
Effects Actions and effects are t he same as for reset level 2, plus the
following:
Emergency transfer is invoked .
Translations are reloaded from disk or tap e.
If core dump is enab led for this reset level, reset is delayed
until the core dump is c omplete.
Translations entered by users since the las t save translation
was executed by c ommand or by sched uled maintenance are
lost.

Effects System software (boot image) is reloaded , and all proce sses
are reinitialized
The disk, if present and healthy, is the d efault device from
which the software is loaded . Otherwise, the reload is taken
from tape
Before reboot, the system attempts to save the alarm and error
logs to the disk on the acti ve SPE
After rebo ot, e rror a nd al arm lo gs a re res tored fro m the SPE
that is active coming out of the reboot. (Note that this means
that some error and alarm information may b e lost if the last
save b efor e the rebo ot sav e doe s not succ eed or if an SPE
interchange takes place)
