test spe-standby [short | long] [repeat # | clear][schedule]
This command is valid only on systems wi th duplicated SPE. The test
spe-standby c ommand performs hard ware diagnostic tests on each component
of the standby Switch Processing Element (SPE). This command is also used
with the long option to remove a stand by from recent interchang e mode. The
sequ ence beg ins w ith te sting of th e STBY-SPE ma inten anc e obj ect t o det ermi ne
the av ailab ili ty of t he st andb y SPE. The foll owing test s are r un on STBY-SPE:
1. Stand by SPE st atus q uer y
2. Stand by SPE ha ndsh ake te st
3. Stand by SPE ti me of d ay c omp ariso n (sta ndb y in s ynch with a ctiv e)

The last test is run only in the long sequence. After the ab ove sequence, tests of
each comp onen t on t he sta ndb y SPE are r un.
Testing the standby SPE does not affects the availability of the stand by SPE for
service only in that execution of the long sequence takes the stand by out of
recent interchange mode.
