1. If Error Type 3586 is detected again, replac e the circuit pac k.
u. Error Type 3841: the board received a message from the swi tch that it
does not recognize, and the board responded with an inconsistent down
link error message. This error does not affect servic e, and no action is
required.
v. Error type 3842: the circuit pac k received data from the Packet Bus faster
than it could distribute the d ata to i ts endpoint. This circuit pack should be
able to recover by itself , and no action is necessary.
w. Error Type 3999: circuit pack sent a large numb er of control channel
messages to the switch within a short p eriod of time.

Always investigate tests in the ord er presented in Table 9-78 when inspecting the
errors in the system. By clearing error c odes associated with the Co ntrol Channel
Test, for example, you may also clear errors generated from other tests in th e
testing sequence.

This may be normal during heavy traffic.
If the error is logged during light traffic, it
may indicate a problem with the circuit pack
or the equipment attached to it.
